(Stage set: If you can create a backdrop, paint or draw two farms on opposite edges. Place RAM in front of one farm and PIG in front of the other.) NARRATOR or NARRATORS: Once upon a time, there was a ram. The ram lived on a farm where he was fed a lot of food.  One day, a maid at the farm came to bring dinner for the ram.	NARRADOR O NARRADORES: Hace mucho tiempo, había un carnero. El Carnero vivía en una finca donde se alimentaba mucho. Un día, una criada de la finca vino a llevar la cena para el carnero.
(MAID enters.)	(Entra CRIADA.)
MAID: Hello, Ram!  Make sure you eat all of your food.	CRIADA: Hola, Carnero!  Cómate toda su comida.
RAM: No problem!	CARNERO: No problema!
MAID: Good, good.  Tomorrow you will be on our dinner plate!	CRIADA: Bueno, bueno.  Mañana estarás en nuestro plato de cena!
RAM: What?  I am too big to fit on your dinner plate!	CARNERO: Qué?  Soy demasiado grande para caber en su plato!
MAID: Ram, can it be that you do not know?	CRIADA: Carnero, puede ser que no sabes?
RAM: Know what?	CARNERO: Que no sé qué?
MAID: We keep animals on the farm so we can eat them!	CRIADA: Tenemos animales en la finca para que podamos comerlos!
RAM: Eat them?  Can this be true?  I am not hungry anymore!	CARNERO: Comerlos? Es verdad? Ya no tengo hambre!
MAID: Well, eat up anyway, Ram.  Tomorrow is the day!	CRIADA: Bueno, cómete de todas maneras, Carnero. Mañana es el día!
(MAID exits.)	(Sale CRIADA.)
RAM: What am I going to do?  I do not want to be on the dinner plate.  I have to get out of here!  My friend Pig lives on the next farm.  I will go and see Pig.	CARNERO: Que voy a hacer?  No quiero estar en el plato de cena.  Tengo que irme!  Mi amigo, Cerdo vive en la proxima finca.  Me voy a verlo.
(RAM walks over to PIG.)	(CARNERO camina a CERDO.)
PIG: Hi, Ram!  How are you doing?  What a nice day it is!	CERDO: Hola, Carnero!  Como estás?  Que día bonito!
RAM: Not anymore!  Now I know why we are fed so well at the farm.  Do you think it is because they like us?	CARNERO: Ya no!  Ahora, sé por qué nos da tanta comida en la finca.  Crees es porque nos gustan?
PIG: Of course!	CERDO: Claro!
RAM: It is not!  It is because they want to eat us for dinner!	CARNERO: No!  Es porque quieren comernos para la cena!
PIG: What?  Oh dear!  What can we do?	CERDO: Que?  Ay!  Que podemos hacer?
RAM: We must go away!  We will go off into the woods.  We will build our very own house in the woods!	CARNERO: Tenemos que irse!  Salimos para el bosque.  Construimos nuestra casa propia en el bosque!
PIG: Then we will not have to worry anymore about the maid and her dinner plates!	CERDO: Entonces no tenemos que preocuparnos sobre la criada y sus platos de cena.
RAM: Yes!  Do you want to come?	CARNERO: Sí!  Quieres venir?
RAM: Yes!  Do you want to come?	CERDO: Seguro!  Vamos!
(RAM and PIG exit.)	(CARNERO y CERDO de cerdo.)

(GOOSE and HARE enter.)	(Entra GANZO y LIEBRE.)
GOOSE: Good day!  What are the two of your doing?	GANZO: Buenos días!  Qué están haciendo?
RAM: Good day to you, too!  We are building our very own house in the woods.	CARNERO: Buenos dias!  Estamos construiendo nuestra propia casa en el bosque.
HARE: Wow, that sounds great!  May we live there, too?	LIEBRE: Que bueno!  Podemos quedarnos también?
PIG: If you help us.  What can you do to help?	CERDO: Si nos ayuda. Como pueden ayudar?
GOOSE: I can stuff grass in the cracks with my beak.  Then our house will be warm and cozy.	GANNZO: Puedo rellenar hierba en las grietas con mi pico.  Entonces la casa sera calentita y acogedora.
HARE: I can chew wood with my teeth to make pegs.  Then the house will be strong and safe.	LIEBRE: Yo puedo mastigar Madera con mis dientes para hacer las clavijas.  Entonces la casa sera sólido y seguro.
PIG: Warm and cozy...strong and safe...this sounds good!	CERDO: Calentita y acogedora… sólido y sano… parece bien!
RAM: It sure does!  The more help we have, the faster we will build our house!	CARNERO: Seguro!  La más ayuda que tenemos, más rapida que construiremos nuestra casa!
HARE: All right, we will all work together now.	LIEBRE: Bueno, trabajamos juntos ahora.
(ROOSTER enters.)	(Entra GALLLO.)
PIG: Hello, rooster.  What are you doing in the woods?	CERDO: Hola, Gallo.  Que haces en el bosque?
ROOSTER: Well, everyone is talking about why you left, Ram.  They say the maid is going to eat you for dinner.  So I came to see you and find out what you are doing.	GALLO: Todo el mundo está hablando sobre por qué te fuiste, Carnero. Dicen que la cirada va a comerte para la cena. Pues, yo vine para verte y que haces.
HARE: We are working together to build our very own house in the woods.	LIEBRE: Estamos trabajando junto para contruir nuestra propia casa en el bosque.
ROOSTER: Your very own house in the woods!  May I help you?	GALLO: Su propia casa en el bosque!  Les puedo ayudar?
PIG: Well, what can you do to help?	CERDO: Pues, que puedes hacer para ayudar?
ROOSTER: I can crow and crow in the morning to wake everyone.	GALLO: Yo puedo cantar y cantar en las mañanas para despertar a todos!
RAM: That is good!  If no one wakes me up, I might sleep all morning!	CARNERO: Perfecto!  Si nadie me despierte, yo podría dormir toda la mañana!
PIG: Me, too.	CERDO: Hasta yo.
GOOSE: Me, three.	GANZO: Yo también.
HARE: Yup.	LIEBRE: Sí.
GOOSE: Good!  Then we will all start now and build our home!	GANZO: Que bueno!  Entonces empezamos ahora y construir nuestro hogar!
PIG: Okay, I will cut the wood.  (PIG pretends to use a saw.)	CERDO: Bueno, yo corto la madera. (CERDO finge usar una sierra)
RAM: Thanks, Pig.  I will carry that.  (RAM pretends to carry the wood.)	CARNERO: Gracias, Cerdo.  Yo la encargo esa. (CARNERO finge cargar la Madera.)
HARE: Here, Ram.  I chewed some pegs for our house.  (HARE pretends to hand over the pegs.)	LIEBRE: Dale, Carnero.  Mastiqué algunas clavijas para nuestra casa. (LIEBRE finge darle las clavijas.)
GOOSE: Here, let me stuff some moss in those holes.  (Pretends to stuff moss in the walls of the house.)	GANZO: Dejame rellenar musgo en los huecos. (Finge rellenar musgo en las piedras de la casa.)
RAM: What a house!	CARNERO: Qué casa!
PIG: We are a good team.	CERDO: Somos un equipo bueno!
GOOSE: Let us get some rest.	GANZO: Por qué no descansamos.
(Animals sit down and pretend to sleep.)	(Los animales se sientan y finjen a dormir.)
(WOLF 1 and WOLF 2 enter.  They whisper to each other.)	(Lobo 1 y Lobo 2 entran.  Susurran a ellos mismos.)
WOLF 1: Mmmm, look at all those yummy animals	LOBO 1: Mmmm, mira a todos los animales sabrosos.
WOLF 2: All in one place, too!  That makes it easy for us.	LOBO 2: Todos en un lugar, también!  Lo hace facil para nosotros.
WOLF 1: We will get these animals and have them for dinner!	LOBO 1: Cogimos estos animales y tenerlos para la cena!
WOLF 2: Great!  I am so hungry, I can almost taste them!	LOBO 2: Perfecto!  Tengo mucha hambre, casi los puedo saborear!

WOLF 1: All of you yummy animals are mine!	LOBO 1: Todos ustedes animales ricos son mios!
RAM: Get out of here!  Stay away from us!	CARNERO: Vete!  Vaya!
PIG: (shows teeth) Take that!  Argggh!	CERDO: (muestra los dientes)   Tome eso!  Rrrrrrrr!
GOOSE: Peck, peck.  Get out of our house!	GANZO: Váyanse de la casa!
ROOSTER: Cock-a-doodle-do!	GANZO: Quiriquiri!
HARE: (running around) Leave us alone!	LIEBRE: (corriendo)  Dejanos en paz!
WOLF 1: AH!  (runs back to WOLF 2)	LOBO 1: AY!  (corre a LOBO 2)
WOLF 2: What happened?	LOBO 2: Que pasó?
WOLF 1: There are monsters in that house!  I am out of here!	LOBO 1: Hay monstrous en esa casa! Ya me voy!
WOLF 2: Do not leave me here!  I am coming with you!	LOBO 2: No me dejes acá!  Voy contigo!
(WOLF 1 and WOLF 2 exit.)	(LOBO 1 Y LOBO 2 salen.)
RAM: We did it!	CARNERO: Lo hicimos!
PIG: We saved our new house!	CERDO: Salvamos nuestra nueva casa!
GOOSE: It was cooperating that saved the day!	GANZO: Era cooperación que salvo el día!
HARE: Good job, everyone!	LIEBRE: Bien hecho, todos!
ROOSTER: Now we can live together in our very own house in the woods!	GANZO: Ahora podemos vivir en nuestra propia casa en el bosque!
